Kato Drys Art Bazar

Bomba design will be participating, along with other artists and craftmakers, in an art and crafts market which will take place in the beautiful village of Kato Drys on Sunday, October 2nd 2011.

The art maket will take place in the oudoor space of the village's restaurant "Platanos", at 12-6.30 pm and will feature quality products designed and made by local artists and craftmakers, including jewellery, clothing and accessories, homeware, ceramics, and gifts for kids. Some of the other participants are: twentythree, Constantia Hadjisavva, Malvina Middleton, Menelaos Theodosiades etc.

Kato Drys is just a 40-minute drive from Lefkosia or Lemesos, located near Lefkara village. It is a beautifully renovated village, with many historic houses travelling you back to a bygone era, when the people who lived here would travel to Paris to sell the handmade lace produced in the area, and bring back with them the then-latest furniture and homeware; now antiques and charming remnants of the past. These houses will now be opened to the public for one day only, and guided tours will take place throughout the village's houses, museums, monuments and winery. Also, the public will have the opportunity to watch how traditional sweets and alcoholic drinks are made, as well as tasting them. The events are organised as part of the 'European Heritance Days 2011' by the Town Planning Department and Kato Drys Community Council.
